Midtjysk Flyveskole’s materials are also available in English.
The teaching is in Danish, but can be converted to English using, for example, Teams’ translation program. The e-book and question bank are in English.
The teaching is on Mondays and Wednesdays evenings from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM from the beginning of September to the beginning of December. You can choose to attend one of the evenings or both. After Christmas, the course will be repeated, but now the evenings will be swapped around, so that the subjects that were on the Monday before Christmas are now on Wednesdays.
Our PPL course is structured so that you can take the course when it suits you and at the place that suits you. You are welcome to attend the teaching at the school, or you can participate online via the link you receive when registering, or you can choose to take the entire course on your own.
The PPL course consists of an e-book in English, a large online question bank with approximately 6000 questions in English (many of which have response answers), a large number of videos (in Danish, but can be converted to English), recordings from teaching (in Danish, but can be converted to English) as well as the possibility of individual guidance and help.
The Danish Transport Authority holds exams every month (except July). You choose when you take the exam and how many subjects you take at a time.
The teaching is divided into the following subjects:
- Aviation law.
- Human performance.
- Communication.
- Meteorology.
- Flight performance and planning.
- Navigation.
- Flight principles.
- Operational procedures.
- General aircraft knowledge.
Before you can be set for an exam by the Danish Transport Authority through Midtjysk Flyveskole, you must have passed Midtjysk Flyveskoles pass test.
When you have passed all 9 subjects with the Danish Transport Authority, you will receive a PPL theory certificate (also valid for UL and LAPL).
To be able to operate as a pilot on an aircraft, you must have a radio certificate – N-BEG (Danish) or BEG (English). Midtjysk Flyveskole offers both N-BEG and BEG as Distance Learning.
